I am over 50 & about to retire
"I am Derek, aged 58, and I live with my partner, Janet.
I have got a number of pension schemes from different employers throughout my working life, and I now want to draw on these to provide me with pension in my retirement.
Some of the investment performance on these has been poor and I am not sure if they are all in the best place.
I was thinking of buying an annuity, but I want Janet to have a comfortable income when I’m gone. I know that there are other options other than buying an annuity and I would like to understand these fully.
I know that there is an option to withdraw all my cash from my pensions, further to the Government’s Pension reforms, but I’m not so sure whether this is a sensible option for me.
I know ASPL can help."
